We truly are spoiled for choice when it comes to amazing restaurants, beautiful coffee and bars that really do have it all. We’d never be able to share all of our favourite places. But for now, we’ll offer a few suggestions and we can’t wait to hear what you think!

COFFEE, BREAKFAST, BRUNCH

BABUSHKA

We really do feel that Babushka is the quintessential beach café. The food is affordable but absolutely delicious. They also serve top class coffee for the coffee connoisseurs among us. You can join Babushka for breakfast, brunch, lunch or a late afternoon bite. With views to die for and organic produce on offer, we can’t recommend enough.

INDIGO CAFE

Family run and dog friendly? You’ve sold us already! If you’re after some delicious breakfast, brunch or lunch, you’ve found your spot. This café uses Belfast coffee, Bailies, bringing top quality, local brews to Portrush. You’ll also have a chance to indulge on some home-baked treats like chewy brownies and a Northern Irish favourite, Apple pie. Right in the centre of Portrush, you couldn’t ask for more.

LOST AND FOUND

If you’re in need of a tasty coffee to go, grab your favourite hot beverage from the Lost and Found hatch or if you have more time, spend some blissful time inside their simply designed, relaxing space. We have heard their cinnamon morning buns are the stuff of genius, but you’ll need to get in early to grab them. This coffee stop likes to work with the seasons and bring customers a cyclical menu. Sea views and expertly crafted treats, we can stand behind this one.

SHANTY

If you’re searching for Northern Irish charm, why not visit Shanty? Serving delectable bites and beverages, you’ll never be disappointed. Shanty works hard to provide as much of their menu through locally sourced suppliers. The space was originally a boathouse and shelter and the renovation is really quite something. With lots of parking nearby and White Rocks beach not far at all, you’re winning!

TIME TO DINE AND WINE

URBAN

Modern, up-to-date and funky, Urban Restaurant is a beautiful spot for some locally sourced dinner with an incredibly diverse menu and a chef that certainly knows what they’re doing! You’ll find everything from seafood to beautifully cooked ribs and all washed down with beautifully chosen wine. A must if you’re visiting!

THE TIDES

If you’re searching for a great cocktail and a perfectly cooked steak, The Tides is the spot for you! Not only can you grab a sophisticated lunch here, but can join The Tides for an amazing dinner. If you’re celebrating something special, we’d recommend joining these guys to toast your good news. Though this is a higher end restaurant, the portions are super generous and you’ll be full and happy when you leave.

THE QUAYS

Right in the middle of Portrush, you’ll be able to find your way to The Quays after a day of fun at the amusements or a beach day, with ease. We would say this is a great spot if you want casual dining but still want high quality meals. You can relax here with a lovely ambient atmosphere and grab a deliciously cooked meal for everyone in the family. We have heard there’s an excellent cooked cheesecake that gets rave reviews!

RAMORE RESTAURANTS

Whether it’s the Basalt, The Mermaid, Neptune and Prawn, Coast, The Wine Bar or the Harbour Bar and Bistro, Ramore Restaurants have you covered. In Basalt, enjoy some tapas, grab some asian influenced food in Neptune and Prawn and the Harbour Bistro will bring you some good old fashioned Northern Irish grub, perfectly crafted and locally sourced. There’s something for every taste in these places and each one offers guests a wide selection of beers, wines and cocktails.

We could spend forever chatting about our favourite spots to eat and drink, but hopefully we have shared some inspiration for your holiday bites! Try one, try them all, we’re sure you’ll love them!
